Managing Director

Keith Loveless BA BArch(L’pool) RIBA

Following several years’ in private practice and with a local authority Keith joined the family practice in 1985 as a Partner alongside Don Loveless and Colin Morrell.

From the outset Keith developed a passion for community and church architecture, including sheltered housing projects, nurturing an interest in conservation, historic buildings and listed buildings.

Keith rises to the challenge to ensure these precious buildings remain relevant and are cared for so they can meet the demands of modern living long into the future. He says the best outcome is seeing the buildings being actively used and enjoyed following RLM’s input.

Keith’s Credentials:

  • Listed Inspecting Church Architect for Salisbury and Winchester Diocese
  • Member of the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association
  • Affiliate Member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation

Finance Director

Paul Hougham BSc (Hons) MRICS

Paul has been closely associated with RLM Architects since 1990, initially as a Consultant Quantity Surveyor.

He joined the Practice in 2007 as an Associate when the Practice expanded the range of services they offered, becoming the Finance Director in 2008 when the present Limited Company was formed.

Whilst working for local Quantity Surveyors he undertook day release courses at Poole and Bournemouth College and the Dorset Institute of Higher Education before attending a degree course at Kingston Polytechnic.

In 1993 he was elected a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.  During this time, he worked for Light & Partners, becoming sole principal where his working relationship with RLM Architects began.

Prior to joining RLM he spent a short time in Dubai working on some of the major developments there.

His expertise and experience are well founded in the traditional aspects of quantity surveying and project management with broad experience in housing, hospitals, churches, hotels, offices, industrial, leisure and property maintenance.

He now provides an independent and in-house quantity surveying service to RLM clients, and his project management role gives him the hands-on construction-based experience that he enjoys.

Technical Director

Roy Brammer C.Build E, MCABE, ACIAT

Roy has worked for a range of practices across the county since 1986 and qualified as an Architectural Technician in 1991 and a Chartered Building Engineer in 2002, joining RLM in 2008 as Technical Director.

His experience is extensive, ranging from small domestic extensions to large complex hospital refurbishments and extensions, including large business park and office developments, both new build and refurbishment.

His experience within the healthcare sector continues to secure projects with NHS Trusts across Dorset and the South of England.

As a Chartered Building Engineer Roy provides general technical input to all projects. This, together with his project management experience of running major projects from inception to completion including Hospitals, Churches, Offices, Education, Industrial and Care Home projects, allows Roy to add significant value to project teams.

With a keen eye for detail and all things technical Roy regularly updates his knowledge and certification as part of RLM’s CPD commitment (Continuing Professional Development) for all staff, enabling him to give direct and practical input to any project requiring technical expertise.

RLM are committed to supporting the training and development of future Architects, and our dedicated and enthusiastic team includes trainee Architects at the start of their career – full of enthusiasm and design flair – and Architects who are hugely experienced and talented within a wide range of building types.

Our Project Managers are experienced in running complex projects in procurement in the public and private sectors.

When necessary, we engage specialist consultants and services, working with our network of reliable and long-standing contacts.

Supporting our Architect professionals is our business team, who are responsible for our robust administration and communication.
