Roy Brammer C.Build E, MCABE, ACIAT
I joined RLM Architects in 2008 as Technical Director when the Practice became a Limited Company, having worked with Paul (Hougham) on a number of projects whilst working for another local practice.
I qualified as an Architectural Technician from Bournemouth Polytechnic (now Bournemouth University) in 1991 having completed five years of day release studies. I have always lived in Dorset working for a range of practices across the county since 1986.
My experience is wide and varied ranging from small domestic extensions to large complex hospital refurbishments and extensions, including large business park and office developments, both new build and refurbishment.
My experience within the healthcare sector has helped RLM secure several major refurbishment projects with the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
As part of RLM’s CPD commitment (Continuing Professional Development), I have recently completed a course leading to a Certificate in Fire Studies which allows me to give direct practical input to a number of fire improvement schemes currently being undertaken by the company for care homes countrywide.
As Technical Director, I am responsible for the CAD system and general technical input to all projects undertaken by RLM. As a Project Manager and Architectural Technologist I have broad experience in running major projects from inception to completion including Hospitals, Churches, Offices, Education, Industrial and Care Home projects.
