CARE HOMES

Following the successful conclusion to complex improvements and fire upgrade works at Zetland Court in Bournemouth for the RMBI (the Charity currently has 17 homes throughout England and Wales) RLM Architects has been requested to assist in similar works at several of their other Homes.  The RMBI is taking the opportunity whilst these works are being undertaken to upgrade and improve the accommodation.

SUSTAINABILITY AND ENERGY RECOVERY – Doing our bit for the environment

RLM Architects has secured a contract to design and advise on the construction of new infrastructure to house offices for waste treatment and renewable energy specialists, New Earth Solutions Group, at their new Avonmouth Energy Plant.

CHURCHES

RLM Architects has recently been appointed the Church Architect for the Church of St Mary the Virgin – a 17th Century church in Bransgore, it’s sister church All Saints in Thorney Hill – a Grade I Listed Baroque style church built in 1906 and St Andrew’s Church in Rockbourne (near Fordingbridge) – a Grade I Listed Medieval church.

WESSEX WATER

A long association with Wessex Water has helped secure the contract to work with stakeholders to find a sustainable future for several of the company’s redundant sites including two Grade II Listed Water Towers.

We have also been requested to provide design ideas for housing a historic steam engine at the Wessex Water Museum in Sutton Poyntz.

 

ROYAL BOURNEMOUTH HOSPITAL

With the recent completion of works to the new Stroke and Endoscopy Units, RLM Architects has advised on the construction of a new MRI Scanner Suite and the internal alterations to the Eye Unit following acceptance of their designs for these two projects. These are now being  handed back to the Hospital following successful completion.
